Inspired by the natural beauty and cultural significance of the West Coast, this handcrafted decorative wooden surfboard was created especially for Tin Wis Best Western in Tofino.

The artwork celebrates the salmon, a powerful symbol of resilience, renewal, and connection. The two salmon represent the cycle of life—returning to their birthplace after a long journey through the ocean, completing a story that speaks of perseverance, transformation, and fresh beginnings. Their annual migration has sustained coastal ecosystems and communities for generations, reminding us of the importance of balance, gratitude, and respect for nature.

At the heart of the design, flowing waters surround a coastal forest silhouette, capturing the essence of Tofino’s wild landscape where ocean, river, and rainforest exist in harmony. Together, these elements tell a story of movement, renewal, and the enduring connection between land and sea.
